18650 vs 21700

The 18650 (18×65mm) is the most widely used Li-ion format. The 21700 (21×70mm) is larger, offering higher capacity and discharge rates. If your device supports both, the 21700 is generally the better choice for performance. Check your device's battery compartment before ordering.

Capacity vs Discharge Rate

High-capacity cells (e.g. Samsung 50S 5000mAh) prioritise runtime. High-drain cells (e.g. Molicell P42A 45A) prioritise peak power output. For most power tools and e-bikes, a balanced cell like the Molicell P42A or Samsung 40T is the best all-rounder.

Protected vs Unprotected

Unprotected cells are standard for regulated devices with built-in protection circuits. Protected cells have an integrated PCB that prevents overcharge, over-discharge, and short circuit — recommended for unregulated devices or less experienced users. All our cells are genuine and clearly labelled.
